Word Meaning And Grammar Research Of Hand Movements Of <ShuoWenJieZi> Mutual Glossing Words

The grammar research has been paid highly valued while the semantic study hasbeen neglected for a long time. In fact, meaning is really the starting point and final goal oflanguage. It is quite important to Chinese which is a kind of language that its grammar form isnot distinct. The construction of Chinese sentence usually is arranged by logic andpsychological process according to the need of meaning. Therefore, this characteristic ofChinese determines that lexical semantics mechanism plays a key role in language. Chinesegrammar mechanism can be simply expressed as: Lexical semantic stipulates grammarattribute and then stipulates syntactic system. Hence, lexical semantic play a decisive role inthe character, function, coordinate mood and express form of language elements, especially inChinese. So we should pay attention to the research of specific relation between lexicalsemantic and grammar.This paper selects the hand movement of"shuowen" mutual glossing phrases as theobject to analysis. These " hand movements phrase" refers to action rather than the radica of"hand". Include:玩、弄；奉、承；弃、捐；排、挤；持、握；捉、扼；投、掷. We will analyzethese words by groups. Hope to provide a new way of understand word meaning, also themethodology attempts of word discrimination. We hope that through the analysis of mutualglossing words system and same meaning on grammar difference,hand of mutual glossingwords difference, on the other hand to further study the grammatical differences between deepsemantic reason.This thesis is composed of three parts: In the first chapter of introduction, we introducethe research profile of subject and interpret the theory and research method about subject. Inthe second chapter of words example analyzing, analysis of circular reference word systemand the same meaning on grammar difference, hand of mutual glossing words difference, onthe other hand to further study the grammatical differences between deep semantic reason. Inthird chapter of conclusion, we summarize the investigational results and give our opinions.
