In the1980s, the development of bibliometrics in China started. Over the past twodecades, it obtained an unprecedented progress. Bibliometric methods have been applied tovarious disciplines, and have achieved fruitful results, especially about papers of a particularjournal, citations, author of the study and so on, but there is a few studies about usingbibliometric in a particular area of development trends.Minority Languages of China was founded in February1979, sponsored by the chargeof the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. It is one of the most important academiclanguage journals in china, which specializes in the studies about minority languages ofchina. Since the Minority Languages of China is founded in1979there are a total of672Lexicological Papers which were published on this journal. The thesis regards all these672papers as its target of study, and make quantitative and qualitative analysis for them.This thesis is divided into three parts: First, by using the Chinese academic literaturelibrary test platform (CNKI) as search tools and the method of quantitative analysis, thepaper choose the quantity of papers, situations of authors, and citations to survey the overallquality and current situation of the lexicological papers in Minority Languages of China, aswell as the Minority Languages of China vocabulary research achievements andinadequacies. Secondly, the paper makes a quantitatively classification for the672lexicological papers, and summarizes what has been done for the research of minoritylanguages of china, and what we need to conduct for further research. This helps usunderstand more clearly about the current situation of the minority languages, and alsoguides us in the future for a deeper study. In the last part, the author summarizes theachievements about the672lexicological papers, and gives some suggestions about thefurther study of minority languages.
