On The Translation Strategies Of Translating English Product Instructions Into Chinese

With the rapid development of economic globalization and the rise of Chinese economy,more and more foreign products come into Chinese market, thus generate a great demandof the translation of instructions. However, due to the lack of professional knowledge ofsuch texts, the market is flooded with unqualified translations. This causes great trouble forusers and damages brand image. By analyzing many references and the feature ofinstruction texts, the author summarized some typical problems of the translation ofinstructions at three levels of words and phrases, sentences and texts. The author selectedexamples from the case of Installation and Operation Manual of Beech Ovens and gavecorresponding solutions under the principle of exactness and readability.
