In the1980s, through the concentrated study and lots of practice applicated by the foreign language teachers, a brand new language teaching theories had occurred, which had the greatest importance on the foreign language teaching, called the Tasked-based Language Teaching (TBLT). The guiding principle of TBLT is "learning by doing", which means that it advocate the basic idea of language application into the practical classroom teaching, emphasize to use language and master it in the communicative activities. It mainly based on the second language acquisition theory and the constructivism, and it is a new product of the communicative teaching theory which has been developed since twenty years ago. This new theory changed the traditional boring pattern "teacher-centered, teacher teach and student learn", and put forward the idea of "student-centered, people-oriented" innovatively. It claims that we can insert the communicative activities into the class and let the students participate and cooperate freely, then they will learn the aimed language at the same time of the realization of self-worth. This article firstly summarizes the development course of TBLT and the current domestic and foreign typical tasks of teaching method, and then makes a depth contrast with the traditional "3P"mode based on the related theories, lastly make sure that the TBLT is feasible to applicate into oral Chinese teaching. On this basis, the author applicate the task-based language teaching theory into primary oral Chinese teaching practice, in order to provide some specific design methods of classroom teaching and the inspiration of the practical methods for language teachers.
