Family narrative is often used as motif in modern Chinese literary.On the one hand,as a result of the trend of Ideological liberation of May Fourth movement, intellectuals had recognized the evil of family system and put the family as the object of attack; On the other hand, the family culture has a deep impact of bone marrow for the Chinese people; So even if they leave home, Eventually return to their family. Therefore, the family is full of contradictory and complex emotions of modern writers. This paper is based on the family narrative. By analysed on Xiao Hong and Zhang Ailing’s works manifested in the creation of complex and contradictory feelings, it hunt after the influence of the family culture on the creation of the modern writer, personality and the mentality.This article focuses on three aspects:awareness of father, woman writing and homes converted to complex.This article is divided into three chapters. First, it describes the concept of family culture in the introduction part, as well as the reflection of modern literary culture in the three decades, in writers’ creations in different periods.Xiao Hong and Zhang Ailing’s life experiences are quite similar, and their creative peak time is the age of thirty to forty in the20th century.Thus comparability can be widely recognized in their creations and works The first chapter discusses the family of father in the sense of narrative, with works by his father and Xiao Hong and Zhang Ailing absence of the father’s status in their eyes. We can know that, although they suffered their father’s beatings and confinement, their fellings to their father is not just hatred,but complex and contradictory feelings, both hungry for fatherly love, and the exclusion of fathers because of their father giveing them the trauma.The second chapter on the two female authors writing in the works. Under the influence of the childhood experiences and lack of fatherly love and motherly love, they become sensitive and eccentric, even the portrait of the a mother in works is not the traditional virtue of a mother, but rather such a selfish, mad mother’ portrait as Cao Qiqiao. In addition, Form their own life experience’view, they ponder the fates of women, and With the intensification of of life experience, the understanding of the reasons of the tragedy of women has been profound.The third Chapter discusses the works of The Wandering with their homes to convert feelings. Without love of childhood experiences in family, it put a shade into the hearts of the two writers. Through a bit of their childhood memories, we can see that they always have eyes for their family and home. Xiao Hong often indulge in the back garden paradise of childhood, Zhang Ailing not only occasionally indulge in a warm moment in the time of together with mother and father, but also has a full sentimental attachment to the once prominent family.
