Effect Of Receptive Music Therapy On University Students Of Emotional Intelligence

Objective:(1)Explore the effects of receptive music therapy on university students of emotional intelligence;(2) broaden the application fields of music therapy.Methods:Non-equivalent group pretest, posttest and following test experiments were designed in this research.48university students were subjects, and a total filial education of8lessons, each90minutes per week, were treated as independent variable, emotional intelligence were treated as dependent variable."Emotional Intelligence scale" were used as the main tools, combining with "Group Counseling Abstract","Feedback Sheet Of Unit","Self-assessment Sheet","Others Evaluation Sheet","Feedback Sheet Of Receptive Music Therapy","Assessment Sheet Team Factor", and the interview records(students and friends), used to discuss the effect of Receptive Music Therapy.when the experiment have be over for6weeks, there is the second measure to discuss the tracking effect.Results:(1) Receptive Music Therapy has more significant immediate effect on total scale of Emotional Intelligence, sub-scales of feels emotion, regulate self-emotion, regulate others emotion in experimental group. But it has no significant effect on sub-scale of apply emotion.(2)Receptive Music Therapy has more significant tracking effect on total scale of Emotional Intelligence, sub-scales of feels emotion, regulate others emotion in experimental group. But it has no significant effect on sub-scales of regulate self-emotion and apply emotion.(3) Qualitative analysis effects also showed assertive effects. Positive changes happened to every student on Total scale of Emotional Intelligence and all sub-scales.Conclusions:(1)Receptive Music Therapy can promote Emotional Intelligence for university students. Moreover, it has tracking effects;(2)There is a tracking effect to Receptive Music Therapy(3)Music Therapy can be applied to university students for emotional problem.
