The Research Of "Line" Performance In Claborate-style Painting

Laborate-style painting is an important part of traditional Chinese culture. In the elaborate-style painting, the "line" has served as the primary means of modeling and is the most concise, summary and basic language of art and describing method in traditional Chinese painting. In the long history of painting in China,"Line" as an artistic expression in elaborate-style painting not only occupies an important position, but also embodies the unique observation method of elaborate-style painting. The "Line" in the elaborate-style painting has the artistic charm which other art forms can not be replaced, and its contents are deep and wide-ranging so that achieve its formation of an unique national style.This paper mainly elaborate the essay from three aspects:First, the understanding and awareness of the "line" in the traditional painting is the means of modeling and the the method of performance. Traditional "Eighteen Tracing" of Chinese painting is a large collection of techniques and types of the using "line" in meticulous figure painting. Perform different characters and forms of people, by using various line, show textures of different objects as well. As a language of modeling, line, is a special mark of Chinese Painting which as an independence art, and it is one of performance methods in our national painting, at the same time. It can not only perform the form, structure, texture and dimension of the object by lining, but also complete the effect of the picture, achieve the require of aesthetic and the national characteristics of Chinese Painting which "modeling by line" by lining as well, without the help of colour and light and shade. The performance characters of line including generality, lyricism, realism, abstractness, and decorative. There are two aspects of the lines beauty:the beauty in form of morphosis of line, and the beauty in form of assemble of line.In the second part of the article, the author combine experts’ interpretation of "line" on the paintings with his own daily accumulation of "line" to analysis the typical case of past dynasties. Such as During the Warring States period of" character" and" imperial dragon figure figure of Gu Kaizhi, the Eastern Jin Dynasty" and" Lo River map"," king of the Tang Dynasty there" and" thoughts", portrait of a lady, and Wu Zongyuan of the Song Dynasty to Yuan Xian battle map.Last,the author combine experts’interpretation of "line" on the paintings with its own daily accumulation of "line" of art history examples; Last but not least, as the core part of this paper, the author combine its own in-depth and increasing understanding of with the domestic scholars’latest theories and the technique research of the "line" in the claborate-style painting, raised a few points that several changes in claborate-style painting history about the use and innovation of the "line" so as to demonstrate the central issues of this paper.
