Claborate-stylepainting is an important part of Chinese traditionalpainting.Theportray to female’s gentle, undermeaning, graceful image gradually formed an oriental aesthetic standard of expression.Taking as a starting point, this article will systematically conclude the history of the development of traditional claborate-style painting in female subject. By analysing the traditional Chinese painting in the Tang dynasty, the article will conclude the feature of graphic designing and ornamental factors in Tang dynasty.During the analysis, the author found that there are some deficiencies, such as relatively singled painting subjects.In traditional painting, haractors tend to have identical facial traits, and painters’ skills are stablized. However,this single theme which caused shortcoming also enabled the skills to develop to a mature status. Meanwhile, modern art which focused on delicacy and creativity, lacked intention and strength. With this background, The article compared traditional and modern art through three aspect:aesthetic standard, expression method and subjects, to find out how traditional claborate-style painting tends from single to pluralism, from simple to superlative, and from noble to plebification.In conclusion,this article compared the difference between traditional and modern claborate-style painting in female subjects.Seeking inspiration from Tang dynasty,to find out the superiority of tradition and make up the shortcomings of modern art.
