"Intangible Cultural Heritage", also referred to as "Fei Yi", it may appear in the forms of practice, technique, performances, as well as folklores and knowledge systems and so on."Fei Yi" adjusts with the environment and innovates itself along with the changes and conditions between people and the nature. It embodies people’s spiritual wisdom and material wealth and also gives us a sense of identity and history. In recent years people started to recognize the importance of intangible cultural heritage. A series of TV programs featuring "Fei Yi" emerged, which popularizes people’s knowledge and expands their horizons. TV, as a kind of mass media, therefore is able to promote its taste and standard by featuring intangible cultural heritage. In the meantime, intangible cultural heritage also promoted itself with the help of TV. Fei Yi TV programs combine "Fei Yi" and "TV" and help them to complement each other.Taking one important intangible cultural heritage-Kunqu Opera as an example, this article explains the concept and content of intangible cultural heritage as well as the necessity to protect it in the perspective of journalism and communications. Based on the characteristics and expression technique of TV, it discusses how to create a communication environment and enhance communications effects for intangible cultural heritage, and then summarizes the development, presentation strategy and social functions of Fei Yi TV programs, especially with the influence of old and new cultures, social development, audience composition and the concept of value. Finally this article points out the practical bottle neck and offered solutions and suggestions for intangible cultural heritage’s future development.
