English-song Aided Teaching In Stimulation Of English Learning Interest

The establishment of three level of curriculum managementsystem (national curriculum, local curriculum and school curriculum)，means sharing the authority of curriculum management, undertakingthe responsibility of curriculum management, and providing the policysupport for the development of the school-based curriculum.“Lettingthe students like and have the choice” is one of the most basicconnotations of the school-based curriculum. In the secondaryvocational school, most students’ English foundation is weak, and theyare afraid of learning English. Therefore, how to stimulate their learninginterest, and how to change the present situation that they are tired ofstudy, become the breakthrough point of this research.Taking the students from Wuxi Automobile Engineering School asthe research object, taking the development of the school-basedEnglish textbooks as the research goal, taking the second languageacquisition affective filter hypothesis and constructivism theory as aguide, being based on the questionnaire survey on English learning, thewriter determined to arouse students’ interest in English learning byteaching English songs in the school-based textbook developmentprocess.In order to test the effectiveness and feasibility of English-songaided teaching, the writer made an experiment which lasted a schoolterm, and analyzed the experimental results. The experimental resultsand the questionnaire both proved that English-song aided teachingcould stimulate students’ learning interest so that students couldparticipate in learning activities actively, and it also helped to form agood relationship between teachers and students.
