The object of this study is teaching situation for the senior foreignstudents who studying at Shanghai Normal university’s internationalcollege of Chinese studies.First of all, the research includes two parts: the textbook Chinaintroduction and the classroom teaching of China’s situation class.The author analyzes the using textbook through the questionnaireand the comparison with the other two textbooks. Then to analyzes theteaching situation through the class observation and the questionnaire.In the final of this paper, the author put forward some suggestions forChina introduction and the classroom teaching of China’s situationclass.The first chapter is the introduction. In this chapter, the authordescribes the meaning of this selected topic—the meaning of theliteracy class for the TCFL and the meaning of the China’s situationclass’s survey. Lastly, the author put forward the current relevantresearch achievements in china.The second chapter states the definition of the Chineseundergraduate education and the course offered to point out thefeatures of this study’s object. Then this chapter introduces the settingsof China’s situation class. Based on the request of professional teachingoutline for high school’s foreign students, the paper confirms thereasonability of our school’s settings.The third chapter generalizes the relevant information from theinvestigation to provide some data for textbooks’ analysis. Being based on the exterior analysis and interior analysis, the author makes asystematic evaluation of the China introduction. The interior analysis isbased on the objective information and the comparison with the othertwo popular textbooks; the exterior analysis is based on thequestionnaire and the interview.The fourth chapter generalizes the investigation of the classroomteaching research to offer the relevant data to help analysis theclassroom teaching. First, the author introduces some basic informationabout the teacher. Then she gives some descriptions of China’ssituation class in recent years. Then, she introduces particular teachingsituation in detail. The relevant information was accumulated byclassroom teaching observation、questionnaire and interviewing resultsgiven by the students.Being based on the former information the author collected, the fourthchapter analyzes china’s situation class and put forward some feasiblesuggestions about textbook’s arrangement and classroom teaching.On the aspect of textbook’s compilation, the author gives somerelevant suggestions about the textbook’ s system arrangement andcontent selection. On the aspect of classroom teaching, the authorgives some relevant suggestions about the teaching contents、teachingmethods and the teacher’s expressions.The last chapter summarizes all the viewpoints this paper have putforward.
