This thesis bases on the lesson three What’s your name? of the text book Experience Chinese for Beginners. As a classroom teaching design, it mainly analyzes the teaching background, teaching content and teaching theory, etc. At the end, it makes an assessment on the whole teaching process.Part One of this thesis is the introduction which briefly states its meaning, purpose and theory foundation of the whole design——Audio-lingual Method. Part Two is background analysis of the design. This part makes a brief analysis on four aspects:traits of the design target, tasks of the design, its key points and difficulties and learners’ characteristics. Part Three is the core of the whole design, which is the detail project------teaching plan design. Specifically, according to the characteristics of learners and features of teaching materials, the author designs this teaching plan with the principle of audio-lingual method. As the most important part, this part is the soul of the thesis. Part Four is the last part of the thesis:teaching practice results. As the keynote of the thesis, this part aims to find out problems through assessment. Teachers introspect their teaching, at the same time, they find out corresponding solutions. The self-assessment of the whole teaching design includes students’self-assessment and assessment on the entire teaching result. Students’self-assessment is a simple assessment by means of questionnaires. In addition, teaching result assessment is mainly through having tests on students to find out how much they have learnt in this period of the class. The theory introspection part of the classroom teaching design works on the former assessment.The purpose of the thesis is not only to show an entire process of Chinese classroom teaching, but also to show how to accurately analyze a classroom teaching background and carry out a rather successful and efficient teaching process under the guide of Audio-lingual Method. Furthermore, after the whole classroom teaching, the author makes self-examinations on the teaching and puts forward pertinent solutions. Above all, it is the purpose of this thesis.
