In order to research Latin American ancient art which is as excellent as the ancientChinese art, a more comprehensive analysis of the link between the Latin American artand Chinese art is presented in this paper with using a comparative approach.First of all, the Maya and Aztec art which are the representative form of ancientLatin American art are studied, and the impact of the Maya and Aztec art to the modernLatin American art is researched. The Maya and Aztec art are compared with theChinese ancient art and the developments of modern art with different visual angle,trying to find an indivisible intrinsic factors between the Latin American modern art andtraditional art in Latin America, that is, the tradition implies peculiar gene which is themost essential characteristics of the human. These intrinsic factors can give someinspirations to the composition of modern arts and reflect the modern crisis in thewestern.Lastly, Comparison with the ancient and modern art of Latin America, ancient andmodern art, the significance, effect and inspiration of Chinese ancient art to modern artare explored deeply, which can help the modern Chinese arts to know how to establish own standards and create their own art needs, and find ways to break through thebottleneck of Chinese art. To solve these problems, the methods should be based on ourown culture, derived from the realities of our nation. The Chinese art should be bloodedwith our own traditional art. With our efforts, the Chinese art would head for themodern from the past.
