The Research On Huang Riji

Huang Riji, whose given name is Ye An, and who styled himself as Li Ya. His ancestral home is Zhangzhou in Fujian province, but he lived in Xiamen. He was a poet who lived in the metaphase of Qianlong period of Qing dynasty. Huang Riji devoted himself to writing all his life. His five works have been preserved so far. The collection of poems which he created by himself are Liya Poetry and Guitian Poetry. The other three works which he compiled are the Collection of Poems about Xiamen’s scenic spots, the Collection of Poems about Ronglin Villa, and the Collection of Poems about Fujian province. In the thesis, we research Huang Riji’s lifetime, writings and social intercourse. From the study, we can find out Huang Riji’s position and influence in the poetic circles of Xiamen at that time. In addition, we can understand Huang Riji’s contribution in the respect of preserving Xiamen’s literature.
