Born in Xiuningshangshan of today’s Anhui Province, Wu Cheng(1125-1183)had to change his name to Wu Jing to avoid having the same given name as Emperor Song Gao zong’s cousin. Other names that he used were Yi Gong, Gong Fu, and Zhu Zhou. He was bestowed the posthumous title Wen Su upon his death. After successfully passing the highest imperial examinations in the 27 th year of Shao Xing of the Song Dynasty(1157), Wu Jing became a local official until he received permission to retire to devote his time to education. Not only successful in his official career, Wu Jing was also an accomplished author. His major works include Zhuzhouji(20 volumes) that was published in Wu Leiheng Edition of Zhuzhouji, Wu Ying Edition of Zhuzhouji, and Complete Library in the Four Branches of Literature.As an important Neo-Confucianism scholar/sage, Wu Jing associated himself with other famous authors of Neo-Confucianism such as Zhang Shi, Chen Liang, Lv Zuqian, and Zhu Xi.“Be used”is the ideal Wu Jing throughout the life and behavior, is ambitious, talented, but has not been used, of the court to the rulers of the city for a long time. In Wu Jing works, on the one hand, pay attention to social reality, care about the people life, expressed his strong patriotic,enthusiasm; On the other hand, and describe the peaceful elegant life interest, always lament life like a dream.This article is divided into three parts: the first chapter investigates Wu Jing’s life, writings,and friends. This chapter mainly provides an overview of Wu Jing life, official, Zhuzhouji’s version and circulating conditions, as well as the friends of the between Wu Jing and relatives and friends and teachers. The second chapter provides an overview of Wu Jing Neo-Confucianism thought. This chapter mainly from two aspects of ideological origin and mindset of Wu Jing’s Neo-Confucianism thought briefly in this paper. The third chapter discusses Wu Jing the characteristics of the literary creation. This chapter is the focus of this paper, focuses on Wu Jing’s artistic characteristics of poetry, prose, word, Outlines the theme orientation of the poetry and poetry in two aspects of thought and art of the Neo-Confucianism.Mainly from the expression of political and military advocated Confucianism, and the aspects to discuss Wu Jing’s prose art. From the air freshness, verve distant; Deep emotions, affection to the mourning; Speech meaning nearly far, delicious three aspects elaborated Wu Jing’s poetry.From the cute swank, empty high and steep, chilly and quiet and secluded three aspects of Wu Jing’s art of the lyrics. Finally from the complex of engagement with recovery plan, review“fame and wealth”of the moral life, put the principle in poetry and apply the poem and lyrics tointerpret the Neo-Confucianism to narrate Wu Jing’s orientation of poem and lyrics and art of the Neo-Confucianism.
