The study of Su Shi’s scholastic circle is not only to further understanding of his personality charm, but also on the analysis of the community of scholar in song dynasty,it is also a social and cultural development of song dynasty. At present academic circles study of Su Shi on the status quo, mainly concentrated in the study of his poetry works about friends, supplement character study and his social activities. People in Song Dynasty catch great importance to the social intercourse for the following reasons.The social intercourse of scholars is a doubled — edged sword to the social development.A good political and social environment, family relationships are also the important condition of make friends; the common pursuit of ideal political, literature, the choice ofpersonal karma, the role of common interest.Friends of the philistines for personal career, marriage, have to be reckoned in the social and cultural, social and political impact.Famous scholars are still the center of attention. Based on what has been mentioned above, it’s necessary that we take scholars as a whole group and pay more attention to common scholars instead of doing case studies of only the renowned.Selecting Su Shi’s close friends, who also have significant influence on him. This thesis focused on the formation of Su Shi’s scholastic circle with reasonable and well-documented research, which is based on carding basic research papers and comprehensive study of historical records.
