A Study On The Management Of Music Education In Universities

Music education is an important part for the higher education, which plays a great role to improve the students’ aesthetic taste and ability, cultivate their moral integrity and good psychological quality. In this sense, it is irreplaceable.The college must improve their teaching management to enhance the quality of music education and enrich the meaning of the music art. So we should study on the techniques of music education, enhance teachers’ capacity and do more research on it. This paper examines the educational ideas, management system, operation mechanism, the curriculum and faculty building and Funds Management in higher education institutions by investigating four colleges in Shanghai with the author’s own experiences in daily work on management of the music education. I hope the study could benefit the reform of the management of music education in higher education sector and the development of the music education endeavor with Chinese charactersitics.
