In recent years, there is a rapid development of volunteering. However, the psychological research of volunteering is limited in China. Therefore, the research of the attitude held by audience and volunteers toward volunteering has great theoretical and practical value. Such attitude will impact people’s life and work directly or indirectly. This thesis analyzed the explicit attitude and implicit attitude, the sense of belonging and their influencing factors about the problems mentioned above.First, we took interviews and questionnaires as explicit ways to research the attitude of audience and volunteers to volunteering. And then we chose the students (N=60) of the Shanghai Finance University as IAT subjects. They were separated into two groups based on whether they had participated in the volunteer activities. All of these60subjects adopted the Implicit Attitude Test (IAT) procedures. The hypotheses of this research:1.the subjects of volunteer/non-volunteer groups show no difference in the IAT toward to volunteering.2. the subjects of volunteer/non-volunteer groups show difference in the IAT of psychic distance toward to volunteering.3. Foreign audiences have a higher satisfaction towards volunteering.4. Self-improvement is a very important factor in voluntary service.
