Research Episode On Bach "the Well-Tempered Clavier"

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685~1750) is one of outstanding music composers inthe late baroque music, and he is the founder who takes the function and sound bodysystem to the mature stage at the same time. He created lots of polyphony music worksin his life, called as "the polyphony master". Polyphony music was the main form ofpiano works at that time, and fugue is the highest form of polyphony music. Bach tookpolyphony music to the climax by inheritance and innovation in the creation offugue.his48《the well-tempered》is the most successful masterpiece in his polyphonykeyboard works, this work structure is tight,inner feelings and colourful,and is rich inphilosophic and logic,this work is the work structure tight, inner feelings and rich, thiswork is known as the old testament of the piano music.Bach’s the Well-Tempered Clavier is divided into two volumes, a total of48, first,this article study is limited to the first volume. This article analyses the24fugue ofbach’s the well-tempered clavier（the first volume）,combines relevant treatises, andexplores the inner law by deep research on episode of each work. The article is dividedinto five parts to discuss, introduction, mainly researches the purpose、meaning、scope、method and the current research status of both at home and abroad of the topic; the firstchapter, the introduction of bach’s life and the well-tempered clavier; The secondchapter, the development, definitions, types and steps innings of episode; the thirdchapter, meticulously sums up episode of the well-tempered clavier from several aspectsincluding materials use、texture type、voice quantity、harmonic and tonal layout. Thefourth chapter, mainly describes the characteristics and significance of episodeapplication.Bach’s creation era is the era of advocate tone music rise, polyphony musicdescends to the adornment of advocate tone music, however,bach’s persistent spiritmakes his music works not only affirm advocate tone music but also retain thetraditional writing of polyphony music,therefore, his music is rich in innovation spiritand has continued ever since. This paper attempts to analysis and research episode ofhis the well-tempered clavier, further knows and understands bach’s composingtechnology and creation thinking.
