The Research On Application Of Tang Dynasty Typical Plant Pattern In Furniture Design

This article studies application of Tang Dynasty typical plant patterns in the furniture design. The purpose is to fully discovery the culture and artistic characteristics of Tang Dynasty typical plant pattern and make the past serve the present. This thesis provides us an important theoretic basis which can preferably solve how to utilize the tang dynasty in the modern furniture design.The paper collects a large amount of literature data and picture through the method of literature research, and summarizes Tang dynasty’s politics, economy, culture on the impact of plant patterns; analyze the Tang Dynasty typical plant patterns art characteristics and cultural connotation and application situation in the classical furniture design, including decoration method and using parts and application principle. Through visiting the furniture store and factory collects some classic case in the modern furniture design, combined with contemporary people’s aesthetic demand and pattern learning method and comparative method discusses Tang Dynasty typical plant pattern application method such as direct application, deformation application, combined with the new material and new technology application, layout, decoration methods and application way in the modern furniture design.Finally, the design practice certificate the point of paper’s view is reasonable and possible.
