Research In Dialectal Terms Collected In Yupian

Yu Pian was completed in Emperor Liang Wu Datong nine years (AD543years), which is one of the most important philology books in Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties. Yu Pian included not only "Ya Yan" words, but also127dialect words. In this paper, the author takes dialect words of Yu Pian as our research subject. The author analyses the origins of dialect words of Yu Pian by comparing with Dialect, Shuo Wen Jie Zi, notes to Er Ya by Guo Pu, notes to Dialect by Guo Pu.The full paper is divided into four chapters. Chapter I introduce Yu Pian briefly, including its author, version, study situation. Chapter II, according to the paper the dialect area of Jin Dynasties in Guo Pu’s notes written by Mr. Li Shuhao, divide Yu Pian dialect words into seven dialect area, count the geographical distribution of each dialect area, and then manage to make dialect words list. And analyses the vocabulary features of dialect words of Yu Pian. As the main part of this paper, Chapter III divides into two sections. Section one researches the origins of dialect words of Yu Pian by quoting ancient literature, philology books, dictionaries and the notes by Qing scholars, demonstrating and comparing the similarities and differences. Section two analyses some cognates in dialect words of Yu Pian by two aspects, syntax and semantic. Chapter IV summarizes this paper’s conclusion.
