"Dog" has different positions in the Eastern and Western cultures. There is a hugedifference on both sides, whether it is the cultural connotation or the attitude people haveon the "dog" in life. This difference has caused some communication disorders duringChinese and Western cross-cultural exchange. Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language isan important means of cultural transmission, which helps to improve China’s internationalstatus. It has vital strategic significance. How to carry out cultural teaching forinternational students is the hot spot and difficulty in TCFL. This article chooses Dogculture as the starting point and focus, based on position of "dog" in the Eastern andWestern cultures, and explores the strategies and methods of dissemination of Chinese Dogculture through TCFL. So foreign students can not only grasp Chinese, but also understandthe Chinese culture for further understanding of China.
