This essay studies on Mongolian students who are learning Chinese,the essay bases on the features of Chinese phonetic system, comparesChinese and Mongolian phonetic which is similar to Chinese, in order tosummarize errors which is caused by the similarity between the twolanguages in pronunciation. From summary, and other influencingfactors on Mongolian students studying Chinese, the essay suggests themost effective Chinese pronunciation teaching methods to Mongolianstudents.Mongolian belongs to the Altaic family, and Chinese belongs toSino-Tibetan family, so there are many differences between the twolanguages in pronunciation, These differences lead to obstacles toMongolian students in the process of learning Chinese. The comparisonin this essay is carried out in two aspects;vowels and consonants. First,the author compares vowels and consonants by pronunciation position,pronunciation methods and distribution in different syllables, Based onthe similarities and differences in these two languages, the authorsummarizes voice into three aspects:1. same voices in two languages;2.similar voices which are similar in articulation but still different;3. someChinese voices which do not exist in Mongolian, then the authorsuggests related teaching methods addressing according to these three aspects. The first one is the most popular in students, thus there’s noneed to spend much time on this aspect but remember these voices andfind the related Mongolian voices; the second one is the most difficult assometimes the students replace these voices by their Mongolian voice,teachers should correct their mistakes in time; for the third aspect, sincepeople are sensitive to new things, the third asspet is not as difficult asthe second one. For the special aspect in Chinese, tone, this essay takesZhao Yuanren’s Five Phonetic Method as the standard to judge thestudents’ voice and summarizes regular commom errors.As the other second language learners, Mongolian students are usuallyinfluenced by their mother tongue in the process of learning Chinese,There are always negative transfer phenomenon that affects their studyof Chinese voice.Beside, the features of Chinese voice also affect them,such as allophone and sound changes, and also the most difficult one,tone. In addition, their attitude and study methods also influence theirefficiency of studying Chinese; teather’s non-lingustic factor is anotheraspect, In summary,there are four aspects that involed in Chineselearning for Mongolian students, negative effects of mother tongue;special features of Chinese voice; learners’ subjective factors; weakeningof teaching voice awareness.At last, this essay suggests teaching methods for these factors,proposes the theory and methods of researching on Chinese voice to Mongolian students, in hope that it could promote teaching Chinese toMongolians.
