Research On The Negative Image-Groups In Du Fu’s Poems

This paper is trying to probe the emotional specialty and distinctive art characteristics in DuFu’s poems through the negative image-groups. There are four obvious characteristics in the negative images:first of all, the negative images must be poetic images, which is the fusion of poet subjective emotion and objective images; secondly, in the development of social culture, the negative images can manifest the specified negative social phenomenon. Thirdly, as far as DuFu, what the negative images refer to goes against his beautiful anticipation, this leads to the negative effect on him. Fourthly, in terms of the DuFu, the negative images are disgusting and concealed. Therefore, DuFu has showed his own criticize and rebuke to the negative images in his poems. However; from the DuFu’s attitude, we can know that the negative images are life and meaningful in the composition of ancient poems. DuFu is not only a great poet; but also the best practitioner of the negative images. There are four kinds of representative negative images in DuFu’s poems:"robber, bandit and thief", "wolf, tiger, leopard, and jackal", "shield and spear", "bone, blood and corpse". They have unfolded the social chaos in Rebellion of An and Shi of Tang Dynasty, and also embodied DuFu’s heart of care for the fate of his nation and his upright character. Meanwhile, when DuFu practices the negative images in the process of composing poems, he can take consideration to four things:the emotional characteristics of poems, the overlying art of images, the music characteristics of poems, and the effect of visual impact.
