Preliminary Study On The Performance Of Aesthetic Consciousness In The Miao’s Original Religious Beliefs

Miao is a special nation in China with a long history of suffering heavy. Its unique religious beliefs, customs, aesthetic, and so formed a most unique personality of the Miao cultural landscape. Unique religious belief is not only the origins of the original aesthetic culture, but also the core of the Miao people’s spiritual life. Miao’s primitive religion integrated the long history, culture, customs and arts together, which were reflected through daily life, festivals, the ritual, costumes and dance in worship. And then the unique aesthetic characteristics were formed, which reflected a strong and deep aesthetic style and became the most sacred inner core power guiding the Miao people’s spirit and soul.This study aims to start with Miao’s original religious beliefs, and discuss the original formation and development of aesthetic consciousness from their particular living environment and religious beliefs so as to bridge the traditional culture and modern culture. This paper has three parts. The first part is to explore the formation of Miao animistic concepts and show the human beauty in the formation process of animistic belief by detailed data. The second part is to analyze the unique content of aesthetic consciousness from the formation and development of totem worship, reproduce the charm of Miao’s history, culture, religion, art, emotion and aesthetic charm and reflect the rich cultural aesthetic characteristics in the aesthetic thinking of Miao’s people. The third part is to study how the ritual and dance in the witchcraft worship guide Miao’s aesthetic consciousness trend, inspire aesthetic feelings and cultivate the art feeling and aesthetic taste of the Miao people.
