The foreign learners can learn Chinese and also know more about china’ssociety and culture through film and television works at the same time, and even more professional culturalknowledge.Firstly, Film and television appreciation teaching can make students apply comprehensiveknowledge and provides them with an edutainment form to promote students’ study interest greatly.Relaxed witty lines and real life context provide a number of colloquial vocabularies mastered inlistening.In addition, the content of film and television appreciation is topical and open causing students’thinking to train their language sense and logic naturally in the process of understanding, analysis andexpression of this film. Secondly, we have lots of film and television resource to be used in teachingChinese as a foreign language.Secondly, this article discusses the status of film and television appreciation and the existingproblems in Teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Although film and television teaching has been havemade some applications in teaching Chinese as a foreign language field at home and abroad. But，film andtelevision appreciation teaching is still in the preliminary development stage of teaching Chinese as aforeign language. There are much class practices but not perfect and systemic outline and teachingmaterials. Besides, it is difficult to make quantitative research and evaluation to its teaching effects.Then, this article puts forward some measures to solve the existing problems through summarizesthe predecessor’s research in the basis of results，and points out some problems should be concerned when implementing teaching scheme.Finally, this article take the film Eternal Beloved as an example, described its specific applicationin teaching Chinese as a foreign language classes.
