Compensation is an act whereby the people try to fix up the wrongdoings and the both consciously andunconsciously offensive behaviors,it is directly that can be seen after wrongdoings. Self-forgiveness, asone of the academic research in health psychology, is in terms of the process of facing the mistakes, takingthe responsibility for that wrong, in order to reduce the probability of self-attacking, and ultimately, get onthe track of self-acceptance. In recent years, there are more and more studies on self-forgiveness, however, the primary findings of research do not exactly reach the group of adolescent, so forth to put into practice.Reform school students,as a special group of so-called “problem-youth”, have more chance of being underthe pressure of social condemnation for their inappropriate behaviors. So, it is crucial to take a study on theself-forgiveness in the reform school students group. This dissertation consequently attempt to contribute torevising both the Conciliatory Behavior Scale and the State Self-Forgiveness Scale for college students. And by using both of them with the Mental health—Adaptation Scale, we tried to find the differences inconciliatory behaviors, self-forgiveness and the adjustment between the ordinary middle-school studentsand the reform school students group, and the functions of self-forgiveness in between the conciliatorybehaviors and psychological adjustment. Conclusions as follows:1) the revised questionnaire of adolescents’conciliatory behaviors includes three major factors,self-reparation, social-reparation, and victim-reparation. This model is well in the goodness of fit, whichthe data of reliability&validity is qualified for the study of Psychometrics. So it can be used as ameasurement of adolescent conciliatory behaviors;2) the revised questionnaire of adolescents’ self-forgiveness includes three major factors, positiveperceptions, negative emotions, and positive behavioral tendencies. This model is well in the goodness offit, which the data of reliability&validity is qualified for the study of Psychometrics. So it can be used as ameasurement of adolescent self-forgiveness;3) there are significant differences in the majority of conciliatory behaviors, self-forgiveness and theadjustment between the ordinary middle-school students and the reform school students group. In bothfactors of self-reparation and victim-reparation, with the total scores of reparation, the ordinarymiddle-school students have done much better than the reform school students group, but no significant difference in social-reparation. In the tendency of positive perception and behaviors, with the total scores ofself-forgiveness, the ordinary students have done much better than the reform school students group, but nosignificant difference in the factor of negative emotions. In the aspect of emotional adjustments, interpersonal adaptations, schooling and social adaptations, with the total scores of psychologicaladjustments, the ordinary students have done much better than the reform school students group, but still nosignificant differences in physiological adaptations;4) There are significant correlations in between with the three factors of reparations, self-forgiveness,and psychological adjustments. We can make the predictions of self-forgiveness and psychologicaladjustments from the total scores of reparations and the related factors, we can also get the predictions ofpsychological adjustments from the total scores of self-forgiveness;5) Self-forgiveness, as an intermediary between reparations and psychological adjustments, helps thereparations to affect the process of psychological adjustments. The positive factors of both perceptions andbehaviors in self-forgiveness work partly as an intermediary between reparations and psychologicaladjustments, however, the negative factors do not work in that way. So reparations have an impact onpsychological adjustments through the process of self-forgiveness, by the positive factors of bothperceptions and behaviors.
