Under the background of globalization, the research and development (R&D)employees play very important part in the development of science and technology.Previous researches show that job burnout of employees may effect their physical andmental health, job satisfaction, job performance, turnover intention or organizationalcohesion. Therefore, in this study we will understand the institutions of R&DEmployees’job burnout and analyze the factors which effect job burnout. We foundthat job stress may cause job burnout by consulting literature,but the relationshipbetween them was complicated, as may be effected by another factors. According toLazanrus’theory and Buffering effect modal we believe that coping style couldmediate the relation which social support could moderate between job stress and jobburnout.Data was collected by means of four revised questionnaires of Chinese versionfrom 1766 R&D Employees sampled from 23 companies. This paper studied theinstitutions of R&D Employees and analyzed the relationship among job stress, jobburnout, coping style and social support adopted ANOVA, related analysis, regressionanalysis and Structural equation model. The lack of this study was discussed, pointedout the direction of future research.The major findings were as follows:1. The job stress and job burnout of the research and development employeeswere in the general level.2. Different demography variables such as gender, marital status, workexperience and company type had different effects on different dimensions of jobstress and job burnout.3. Remarkable relevance’s have been discovered among job stress, job burnout,coping style and social support.4. Job stress had a direct effect on job burnout. 5. Coping style had partial mediating effects on relationship between job stressand job burnout.6. Social support had moderating effects between job stress and job burnout. Jobstress had more influence to job burnout for who had low social support.7. Social support had moderating effects between Positive coping. Positivecoping was a moderated mediator.
