Qualifying adjective is an important sub-categorization of Chinese Adjectives, while lexiconCollocation is an important concept in linguistic area. Researches about lexicon Collocation are in thecore area Corpus Linguistics; it contributes to both fundamental theoretical research and applied researchsuch as Language Teaching, Lexicography, etc. Because it reveals the essence, characteristics, attributesof language. The Collocation of lexicon usually makes sense inSemantics level at most times, but notalways with grammar, so Semantic Distribution Analysis can be a good way to evaluate one word’susage context.Researches on lexicon Collocation and semantic distributionare critical to ChineseOntology research. The essential reason of why Second language learner can’t achieve languageproficiency just as native speakersis exactly because of poor proficiency of Lexicon Collocation. So wecan conclude that Lexicon Collocation and semantic research are very meaningful for Second LanguageTeaching. This thesis observes the Lexicon Collocation and Semantic Distribution of144Chinese DisyllableQualifying Adjectives based on Chinese Corpus Linguistics, portrays them from High ProficiencyCollocation Lexicon, types of Colligation and Formal Markers, acquired two categories,“ActionCategory”and “Noun Category”, followed two examples of their usages with “freedom” and”happiness”,with detailed analysis from aspects of semantic and syntactic. In addition, we categorized and rankedthese lexicons based on “the Graded Chinese Syllables, Characteristics and Words for the Application ofTeaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages” and Circulating Lexicon, with the hope of providinga reference for Second Language lexicon Teaching.Overall, this thesis did do empirical research oflexicon Collocation and semantic distribution, in the hope of inspiring the Second Language Teachingarea and lexicography area.
