Purpose To evaluate the efficacy and safety of the treatment of bronchial asthma with BCG-PSN in children. Methods We searched the electronic database of Cochrane Library (2012-10), PubMed (1966-2012.10), EMBASE (1974-2012.5), the Chinese WanFang Literature Database (1992-2012.10), China Academic Journal (1994-2012.10), and the Chinese Biomedical Literature(1978-2012.10), for all the randomized controlled trials evaluating the efficacy and the safety of bronchial asthma with BCG-PSN in children, The Review Manager5.1software was used to Meta-analysis and using the Revised Jadad scale to access the quality of these studies. Results Four studies with577patients were included. The result of Meta-analysis showed that there are statistical heterogeneity of the Total efficiency between the therapy of Traditional hormone therapy and hormone combined with BCG-PSN of bronchial asthma in children (OR2.88,95%CI1.744.78,Z=-5.79,P<0.0001);there are statistical heterogeneity of the changes of the total number of IgE between the therapy of Traditional hormone therapy and hormone combined with BCG-PSN of bronchial asthma in children(MD-274.55,95%Cl(-319.37,-229.72), P=0.01);the changes of The total number of FEV1%by using Hormone combined with BCG-PSN injection is better than using hormone alone of bronchial asthma in children (MD-0.72,95%CI(-1.22,-0.23), P=0.004),there are statistical heterogeneity of the changes of the total number of r-interferon between the therapy of Traditional hormone therapy and hormone combined with BCG-PSN of bronchial asthma in children (MD-48.03,95%C1(42.21,-53.86),p<0.00001).Conclusion The text description of the results part of the show is the results of Traditional glucocorticoid inhalation combined with BCG-PSN injection is better than using glucocorticoid inhalation.
