To investigate the level of awareness of the parents on the cause, symptoms, clinical manifestations, treatment, surgical options and other related issues of the disease, and to promote clinicians to communicate with the families of children with the disease better and to carry out diagnosis and treatment better.MethodsWe conducted a questionnaire survey of100parents of children.88questionnaires were valid cases, the effective rate is88.00%. With less than high school and above university according to the level of education,88cases are divided into two groups,41cases and47cases respectively. The questionnaire is divided into seven parts:1, general information:the parents and children’s personal data, health insurance type;2, parents’ knowledge and understanding of the degree of OSAHS in children, to investigate parents about the etiology, hazards and long-term impact;3, to investigate parents’understanding of the clinical manifestations and severity of OSAHS in children;4, to investigate the parents the methods of diagnosis;5, to investigate the drug treatment;6, to investigate the parents on the understanding of the different treatment methods;7, to ask the parents about confusion and concern matters of the surgical treatment. Results and Conclusion1Level of income and level of education in the parents are in a positive correlation.2. PSG ratio in diagnosis of OSAHS is still not high enough.3. Knowledge of parents of OSAHS in children is still to be improved.4. About harm in children, clinical diagnosis basis and surgical treatment (indications, complications, efficacy), the understanding and concerns of the group in high level of education are higher. The used drug treatment of the group in high level of education shows higher motivation. The surgery treatment expects of the group in high level of education are higher.
