ObjectivesDiscuss several applied value of tumor markers in the diagnosis of gastric cancer including CA19-9, NSE, CEA, CA242, Transferrin, AFP, CA-125, HGH, CA15-3, CA72-4, CYFRA211. These tumor markers were combined to detect gastric cancer in order to improve the clinical diagnosis.Methods:65patients with gastric cancer were selected from March2011to March2012in the second affiliated hospital of zhengzhou university, who were admitted in general surgery and treated without radiation and chemotherapy. The above cases were confirmed by pathology. Among them43male patients and22female with mean age (54.8+6.8).7patient were in TNM staging I,9were in stage II and21were in stage III and28with stage IV. Gastrointestinal benign disease and healthy controls (excluding the stomach disease and systemic tumor diseases) were taken during the period of digestive endoscopy.28patients with gastritis with mean age (55.3+6.1) years and sex ratio19:9has been detected.36patients with gastric ulcer with mean age (54.9+6.3) years and sex ratio23:13was detected. Compared to healthy control group76 cases with mean age (55.2+6.5) and sex ratio49:27was detected.Gastrointestinal benign disease and healthy controls have been excluded from other parts of the tumor.Results(1) CEA, CA242, CA125, CA15-3and CA72-4have higher susceptibility in diagnosis of gastric cancer (2) Detection of Tumor markers compared from healthy control group and benign lesion group, benign lesion group and gastric cancer, healthy control group and gastric cancer group with a positive rate difference (X2=12.70,12.70,68.60)(3) detecting tumor markers to distinguish the early and late tumor has a significant difference (X2=10.17).(4) Joint detection is better than single detection.ConclusionsTumor marker’s combined detection helps to improve the diagnostic rate of gastric cancer. Joint detection of markers in screening of gastric cancer is a simple and effective method.
