The Clinical Research On GU TONG FILM Treatment Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective As the global population tends to an aging, theincidence of knee osteoarthritis disease has increased yearby year. It is the knee pain that makes people feel so muchdiscomfort in their life, study and work, which brings aboutserious impact on quality of life.Nowadays there has not beena definite effective and safe treatment method in clinicalresearch yet. So it is necessary to find and filter a safeand effective and simple treatment. It can evaluate clinicalefficacy and safety of Gu tong film in the treatment of kneeosteoarthritis through clinical researches and comparecurative effect observation.Methods60cases were all from Hubei Province TraditionalChinese Medical Hospital wards according to inclusion criteriaand exclusion criteria of the disease, they were randomlydivided into treatment group and control group equally(namely30cases in each group).30cases of the group A(treatment group) all underwent Gu tong film one note a day;30cases of groupB (control group) all accepted Qizheng Xiaotong Plaster onenote a day.As a course of7days, both of them should continuefour courses of treatment,and respectively before and aftertreatment,7th,14th,21stand28thdays，and we should count andanalysis the score results,and finally record and comparetwo groups of patients with knee joint symptoms and functionalimprovement.Through statistical tests,there was no obviousdifference before the treatment in the first two group ofpatient’s age, gender and X-ray classification and illnessdegree, etc,which are comparable.Results Two groups were both effective in improving thesymptoms.According to the curative standard,the totaleffective rate of group A was90.00%, and the significantcontrol effective rate was33.33%; The total effectivenessof group B was73.33%, and the significant control effectiverate was16.67%. Through the statistics processing, the totaleffective rate and the significant control effective rate ofgroup A had the remarkable difference compared with group B.As a result,two groups was effective in the treatment of singlesymptom. Both of the two groups did not appear adversereactions in the treatment. Conclusion Gu tong film is a kind of effective and safetreatment method in the treatment knee joint osseous arthritispain,which has obvious curative effect and worth clinicalpromotion compared with Qizheng Xiaotong Plaster. But thenumber of cases in the group of clinical observation is little,there exists certain limitation on the response accuracy andcompleteness of the results,it needs further clinical study.
