Background:Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) In the elderly is a common disease in clinic, As the aging society, the incidence is rising.In China, with the prevalence of KOA and patients on treatment expectations rise, patients require a simple, fast, effective treatment method.Objective:To adopt the contrast between the methods in treating knee osteoarthritis, we determine the clinical efficacy to cure knee osteoarthritis by impacting method of knee joint, and discuss the mechanism of action. Thus we reason out a simple and an effective method to treat knee osteoarthritis.Methods:To contrast the research between "Yi-ceng" application combining the impacting method of knee joint with merely use the application method. We establish the bring into standard of the cases, and collect the outpatients of the orthopedics in JiangSu Province hospital of Chinese medicine. We establish the treatment group with15cases and the control group with15cases. We based on the efficaey evaluation standard from "The clinical research and the golden rule in treating osteoarthritis by new traditional Chinese drug’ to advance the observational study.Results:The treatment group treatment for limb swelling,stiffness or increasing pain after getting up improved significantly compared with the control group after3days, the difference has statistical significance, P<0.05, The treatment group on symptom scores, up the stairs, down the stairs to the improvement compared with the control group, the difference has statistical significance, P<0.01. compared with the treatment group and control group after3days for treatiing osteoarthritis,treatment group method can help the patients obtain curative effect, alleviate symptoms and reach the treatment purpose faster. In the treatment group, we can see the total effective rate is86.67%and the rate for showing efficacy is about40%, differences are statistically significant, P<0.05.Conclusion:"Yi-ccng" application combining the impacting method of knee joint plays an observably treatment effect in treating osteoarthritis of knee joint. To simulate the theory of curing the knee osteoarthritis by massaging, we can see the feasibility of it with striking the special acupoints of the knee joint. In this way, the patients can grasp a simple and convenient treatment method by themselves.
