Heart Qi Deficiency Leads To Blood Stasis Theoretical Research

This article combed the relevant theoretical knowledge about "heart qi deficiency leads to blood stasis" by consulting the pertinent ancient medical literatures from Pre-Qin period up to now. Study found that, during qin and han dynasties, the relevant statements about the relationships of heart qi and blood-circulation were plentiful, the Huangdi Neijing says "heart controlling blood circulation",and Zhang Zhongjing put forward the idea "deficiency of yang and predominance of yin will cause obstruction of qi in the chesf".These descriptions laid a foundation for the theory’s development.Wei jin period,causes and pathogenesis of many diseases had been futher recognized, such as the Pulse Classic says "heart is the assemble of all vessels,whose impassability will lead to blood stasis."During this period,the the relationships between heart qi and blood-circulation developed. Sui and tang dynasties,heart qi’s impact on blood circulation began to be discussed in all kinds of diseases, and Prescriptions of benefiting qi to activate blood circulation also accumulated to some degree,for example, the bei ji qian jin yao fang records "Bu xin qi decoction",which can nourish heart qi as well as activate the blood-circulation. In Song Jin Yuan Dynasty, physicians discussed heart qi’s affection on blood-circulation widely from relationships between heart and other Zangs,for example,the Ren Zhai party theory says "liver storing blood, heart controlling blood, blood can be send to all vessels when the heart beats".During the Ming and qing dynasties, the physiological mechanism and pathomechanism are discussed from the perspective of cardionephric harmony,which represented by Zhang Jingyue and He Mengyao.In modern times, Heart disease monographs published one after another,and in a series of disease diagnosis and treatment guidelines on heart disease which are written by China Chinese Medicine and published in2011, also took heart qi deficiency syndrome and blood stasis resistance as the main syndrome types. Up to this point, the theory of "Heart qi deficiency leads to blood stasis "is basically established.This thesis generalizes the inner mechanism of Heart qi affects blood-circulation mainly by analyzing the relationships between Heart qi and primoridal qi, primordial qi, nutrient qi.It puts forward that heart’s fire arouse primoridal qi to nourish Yin and Yang is the inner basis of maintaining normal blood circulation, primordial qi penetrates the heart can support the power to maintain the blood circulation, heart qi’s sufficient to keep blood produced enough will supply enough blood to maintain normal blood circulation.Both yin and yang of heart keep in equilibrium,heart can control mental activities and blood circulation,the blood circulation will be in good order. Therefore,we propose that keeping Ying and Wei in balance and nourishing primordial qi should be used in the patients with heart qi deficiency and blood stasis.This study stands on the basis of predecessors’ research experience, combed the theory of "heart qi deficiency leads to blood stasis" and its forming process, analyzes the inner mechanism of "heart qi deficiency leads to blood stasis", and attempts to provide some useful therapeutic schedules and theoretical reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
