ObjectiveTo investigate the hand’s dermatoglyphic trait of Han nationality inYixianCounty of Liaoning area, and provide some reference for dermatoglyphicsresearch.MethodsFingerprints are obtained with informed consent. There are523persons inthis sample group, including220males and303females. The fingerprintpatterns are analyzed and the finger ridge count are counted.Results1. The most prevalent digital ridge patterns are loops, mainly appeared inulnar loop; The second are whorls, particularly Ws(simple whorl) arepredominant; The least are arches in our samples.2. The frequencies of combination of fingerprint patterns on correspondingfingers were L/L(40.54%)>W/W(36.56%)>L/W(19.16%)>A/L(2.6%)>A/A(0.8%)>A/W(0.34%).The frequency of same fingerprintpattern of a person’s two hands was17.05.(8.41%in same whorls and8.65%in same loops).3. The frequencies of combimtion of the fingerprint patterns in one hand wereOLW(62.72%)>combination of sarne types(27.72%)>ALW(5.64%)>AOW(0.29%). 4. There is no significant differences between sexes and hands (P>0.05) in thevalues of the TFRC、a-bRC、atd angle、tPD(%)and the MLIT(P>0.05);Themain type of A,B,C,D main line is3,5",7,9; there is no finding C trigeminalpoint loss in all individuals.5. Palmar flexion creases: The normal type is77.93%, bridge crease type is14.95%,simple crease type is3.73%,fork crease type is0.90%,Sydneytype is2.53%.Conclusions1. The fingerprint patterns indicate that the most prevalent digital ridgepatterns are loops, the second are whorls, the least are arches in Yixiancounty show significant differences between nationalities。2. The distribution of fingerprint patterns of Han nationalities in Yixian county isbilateral symmetry, and frenquencies of combination of fingerprint patternsshow significant differences between other groups。3. Percentage of different palmar flexion crease in Yixian county as same asother groups, and the normal patterns were the most prevalent;otherPalmar values show significant differences between other nationalities。...
