In this paper, computer aided interpretation of chromatographic fingerprints of Fructus Aurantii, Exocarpium Citrus Grandis and Hypericum Japonicum, Thunb was developed by chemical pattern recognition. A newly effective method was established which reflects internal quality.1. Systemic studies on quality of Fructus Aurantii(1) Pattern recognition of TLC fingerprint characteristics: TLC method was applied to analyze Fructus Aurantii samples from different habitats. And the chromatographic peaks were obtained which could reflect common property of Fructus Aurantii and do effective identification as well. Furthermore the quantitative characteristics were acquired. By cluster analysis, the method for quality evaluation of Fructus Aurantii was established.(2) Pattern recognition of HPLC fingerprint characteristics: HPLC method was adopted to analyze Fructus Aurantii from different habitats. Extraction method, mobile phrase, washing grade, chromatographic column, instrument and detected wavelength etc. were optimized to completely study the systemic methodology and establish the characteristics of HPLC fingerprint of Fructus Aurantii samples. While similarity evaluation of chromatograms was processed. Cluster analysis, which selected peak area' s relative percent as quantitative characteristics, was used to distinguish source of Fructus Aurantii. Canonical discriminant function and Fisher' s discriminant function were founded which could accurately differentiate the true and flase as well as the quality of Fructus Aurantii.(3) HPLC-MS analysis of chemical constituents of Fructus Aurantii: HPLC-MS was used to study chemical constituents of Fructus Aurantii and splitting peaks of MS was ascribed. Five constituents, narigin, naringenin, neohesperidin, hesperidin andsynephrine were identified and contents of them were determined individually.(4) Purification of narigin: The method extracting narigin (purify > 98%)from Fructus Aurantii was established, while pharmacodynamics to provide bases for research and development of new drug was studied.2.Systemic studies on quality of Exocarpium Citrus Grand is (1)Pattern recognition of macro and trace element characteristics: Macro and trace elements were selected as classified characteristics to find internal rule through cluster analysis. Results indicated that Exocarpium Citrus Grandis from different habitats and sources exits certain difference between macro and trace elements, so we could identify quality goods in light of it. The research provided scientific bases for authentic research and identification of Exocarpium Citrus Grandis samples.(2) Pattern recognition of HPLC fingerprint characteristics: HPLC method was introduced to analyze Exocarpium Citrus Grandis from different habitats and species. And HPLC fingerprint characteristics were acquired to reflect quality of Exocarpium Citrus Grandis samples. At the premise of that Canonical discriminant function and Fisher' s discriminant function were established. Technology of computer aided interpretation supplied a completely new method for quality evaluation of Exocarpium Citrus Grandis.(3) GC-MS analysis of supercritical C02extraction products: GS-MS technology was applied to analyze constituents of three supercritical C02 extraction products. And 25 compounds were identified, among them 13 compounds were firstly isolated from Exocarpium Citrus Grandis.3. Systemic studies on quality of Hypericum Japonicum Thunb(1) Pattern recognition of TLC fingerprint characteristics:TLC fingerprint chromatograms were conceived and conducted bycomputer aided analysis and process ; Canonical discriminant function and Fisher' s discriminant function were established to provide a brand-new method for quality evaluation of Hypericum Japonicum Thunb samples.(2)Purification of quercetin-7-oxygen-rhamnoside: quercetin -7-oxygen-rhamnoside is the mainly effective components of Hypericum Japonicum Thunb to treat hepatitis. To provide foundation for research and development of new drug extraction of quercetin-7-oxygen-...
