| ObjectiveAnalyse the allergen of allergic rhinitis patients for clinical diagnosis andepidemiology allergen screening. Compare the consistency of skin prick testand serum specific IgE and analyse factors affect patients’ symptom score toguide clinical pertinent detection and treatment.Methods403patients were diagnozed as allergic rhinites in outpatient, allergenwere tested by skin prick test. Serum of patients were then collected andspecific IgE were tested to detect allergen. Skin prick test result and specificIgE concentration were analyzed to compare the consistency of Skin prick testand serum specific IgE test. Age, sex, domicile, work enviroment, type ofacarine allergen, serum allergen, allergic history and hereditary allergic historywere analysed.Results1.341patients showed positive reaction in403skin prick test patients andthe positive rate is84.62%. Acarine allergen (including Dermatophagoidesfarinae, Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus and tropical acarine) in233caseswhich occupied57.81%, Artemisia argyi allergen in168cases(41.68%),Ragweed allergen in57cases (14.14%),cockroach allergen in45cases(11.16%), dog hair in45cases (11.16%), cat hair in35cases (8.68%), mouldfungi allergen in24cases (5.95%), pollen allergen group one in23cases(5.70%), pollen allergen group one in14cases (3.47%).2.324patients showed positive reaction in403serum specific IgE test patients and the positive rate is80.40%. Allergen of serum specific IgE testincludes inhalation group and food group. In inhalational allergen group,acarine combination allergen (including Dermatophagoides farinae andDermatophagoides pteronyssinus) in191cases which occupied47.39%,Artemisia argyi allergen in141cases (34.98%), house dust allergen in113cases (28.03%), dog in89cases (22.08%), cat in29cases (7.19%), treecombination in18cases (4.46%),Ragweed allergen in18cases (4.46%),mould fungi allergen in17cases (4.21%), cockroach allergen in16cases(3.97%). In food allergen group, crab allergen in48patients which occupied11.91%, shrimp allergen in24cases (5.95%), freshwater fish combinationallergen in21cases (5.21%), sea fish allergen in21cases (5.21%), beefallergen in6cases (1.49%), egg white allergen in4cases (0.99%),scandenthop allergen in1case (0.25%), milk and mutton allergen in0case.3. Skin prick test and serum specific IgE test showed the high consistencyof allergen in Artemisia argyi, poplar, willow and elm and medium consistencyin acarine, cat and dog. Inconsistency showed in Ragweed and cockroach.4. Youngster showed significant differencen in symptom score whencompared with middle-aged and old patients. Out-door work enviromentleading to higher symptom score. Allergic history influnced the symptom score.Sex, domicile, type of acarine allergen, serum allergen and hereditary allergichistory had no relationship with symptom score.Conclusions1. Allergic rhinitis’ main allergen in the west of Liaoning provience inautumn is acarine. Artemisia argyi allergen comes the second. Ragweed,house dust, dog and cat were common allergen.2. Skin prick test and serum specific IgE test could effectively detect theallergon of allergic rhinitis. Allergen of artemisia argyi, poplar, willow, elm, acarine, catand dog showed fine consistency.3. Age, work enviroment and allergic history were factors affecting patients’ symptom score. |
