Objectives:Understand the related factors of nursing students’ andpracticing nurses’ willingness engaging in Aged Nursing byapplying the theory of planned behavior(TPB). Provide the basisfor improving the status of the shortage of nursing personnelin the aged nursing industry.Methods:This study uses empirical research of questionnaires designedto scale of Likert,base on the theory of planned behavior andcombine with its own professional characteristics of agenursing.Preliminarily survey was conducted and thequestionnaires were revised through expert evaluation to guideto achieve all research objection. The questionnaire includesfive parts, general information,attitude behavior,competentnorms, perceived behavoiral control and behavioralintentions.The study analyed the responses of160nursingstudents from two vocational colleges in Shenyang City, LiaoningProvince and a total of172nurse practitioners from4hospitals from Sichuan province. Clinical nurses were mainly from twopublic Comprehensive hospitals, two private comprehensivehospitals.The study used the Excel Data Entry and utilize Spss16.0andPLS graph3.0for statistical analysis. Statistical methodsincluded: descriptive statistical analysis, variance matrix,parameter estimation method and factor analysis.Results:Behavioral attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioralcontrol have a significantly,strong correlation to theimpact of willingness of vocational nursing students engagingin aged nursing industry.However, the willingness of clinicalhospital nurses in the aged nursing industry have asignificantly correlation to behavioral attitude and subjectivenorm.Whiles impact of subjective norm is highly significantcorrelated to clinical nurse than behavioral attitude toclinical nurse,perceived behavioral behavioral control has nocorrelation to clinical nurse.Conclutions:The willingness is comparatively low for vocational nursingstudents and clinical nurses to work in aged nursingindustry.Behavioral attitude and subjective norm have significant impact on the willingness of nursing students andclinical nurses to work in aged nursing profession.Perceivedbehavioral control has significant influence on Vocationalnursing students at the school and has little impact on thewillingness of the clinical hospital nurses in the aged nusingindustry.On the cause of china’s health, enhance the willingness ofnursing personnel engaged in the aged nursing industry shouldtake into account the talents from different path and targetedstrategy of selection.The theory of planned behavior is feasible to explore hospitalnurses and nursing students to engaged in aged nursing industryinfluence factors. It has a certain practical value to guide thepractice.It provides a reliable basis of the possibility topredict the behavior of the results.
