Objective:To describe general situation of head injury and explore the factors that may effect the incidence,prognosis and medical cost of head injury, based on the analysis and contrast of170patients diagnosed head injured from a hospital of Shenyang. To provide scientific data and correct advice on the prevention and treatment of head injury as well as the scientific measures making.Methods:Make a retrospective analysis of170cases of head injury patients adopted in2011from a hospital in Shenyang.The content includes their general condition, injury related factors and prognostic related factors. Adopt EXCEL software to establish database and analyze the data with SPSS13.0.Result:1.The statistical results of general description:There are more male patients than female in170cases of patients with brain injury, the male account for68.8%, the female account for31.2%. The age from40to59account for42.9%,20~39account for25.9%. The patients with high school degree and the below sum up to156cases, accounting for91.7%, college degree and the above accounted for only8.3%. The causes of the injuries are traffic accidents, falls, combat wounds, falling.Most injuries happened from March to November. The ratio of improvement and cure of prognosis is98.2%, death is1.8%.2.Comparative analysis:Injury distribution of season and causes between different gender and different cultures has no statistical significance. Injury distribution of patients in different age has statistical significance in the distribution of season and causes.3. The analysis of the factors which effect head injury prognosis:age, educational level, the severity of the injury have effect on the outcome of head injury,which has statistical significance.Conclusion:1.In the170cases of patients with brain injury, men and young people constitute a larger proportion than females and the elderly. The ratio of male to female was about2.21:1.2.Most of the patients were poorly educated.The main cause of injury were traffic accidents, high falls, combat injury.Most of the head Injuries mainly occurred from March to November.3.The patients our hospital adopted are mainly light injured.The duration of hospitalization are mainly concerned from0-30days.Improved or cured together accounted for98%.Medical costs is mainly concerned from1500~9999Yuan.4.The severity of the injury, age, educational level are effecting factors.The severity of the injury is the decisive factor that influence prognosis.Light Injured lead to good prognosis, severe injured lead to poor prognosis.
