The Clinical Study Of Scraping And Acupuncture For The Treatment Of Heart And Spleen Deficiency Type Insomnia

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of scrapping combined with acupuncture and acupuncture only to treat the insomnia for deficiencies of both heart and spleen.Methods:72Eligible participants were randomly assigned into two groups, group A (the combination of scrapping and acupuncture) and group B (acupuncture group). Shen men(HT7). San yin jiao(SP6). Si shen cong(EX-HN1). Xin shu(BL15), Pi shu(BL20) were chosen as acupuncture prescription. Every session lasted30mins.5times a week and10sessions in total. Based on the acupuncture treatment, group A involved the scrapping therapy as well. The scrapping locations were Du meridian, Urinary Bladder channel1and2, which lasted10mins every session after acupuncture treatment. There were3time points for visit, baseline, week2and6.The outcomes were Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). TCM symptom scores. SPIEGEL insomnia scale and International sleep formula.Results:There is no significant difference intergroup at baseline characteristics (P>0.05).For the change of PSQI, TCM symptom scores. SPIEGEL insomnia scale from baseline.the treatment of scrapping combined with acupuncture is significant higher than only acupuncture treatment(P>0.05)..There is no significant difference for International sleep formula for both two groups at the end of treatment and follow up(P>0.05).Conclusions:Comparison before and after treatment, the score of scraping combined with acupuncture group about The TCM symptom. PSQI and the total score of SPIEGEL are better than the simple acupuncture groupPreliminary research indicates that scraping improving the clinical signs against the insomnia for deficiencies of both heart and spleen.can effectively improve the quality of sleep.There is no significant difference for scrapping combined with acupuncture and acupuncture to improve the insomnia in clinics.
