Objective: Explore causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of earlypostoperative pain total knee arthroplasty(TKA).Methods: Retrospective analysis of our hospital in January2010-2012inJanuary with artificial total knee replacement patients132patients (147knees),unilateral replacement of117cases (89%), bilateral replacement in15patients(11%), minimum follow-up of12months (12to24months, an average of14months). Analysis the cause of the early knee pain after total knee arthroplasty, clinical characteristics and prevention measures. Results: During follow-up in26cases (19.7%) postoperative knee pain,8patients (6.1%) infections,3cases (2.3%) prosthesis failure,1case (0.8%) of thehip joint disease of the knee caused referred pain,2cases (1.5%) periprostheticfractures, poor patellar tracking in4cases (3.0%),1patient (0.8%) lumbarspinal stenosis,2patients (1.5%) of the medial collateral ligament pain,1patient(0.8%) of the kneearticular adhesions and joint stiffness, unexplained pain in4cases (3.0%).Conclusion:(1) TKA early postoperative pain for more complex reasons, isnot easily diagnosed by a comprehensive analysis of the post-operative pain, orthopedic surgeons can help avoid misdiagnosis.(2) TKA early postoperative paindue to intra-articular factors, of which,6.1%infection, implant failure2.3%,3.0%poorpatellar tracking, periprosthetic fractures1.5%,1.5%of the medial collateral ligamentpain,5.6%for other reasons.(3) For the four cases of unexplained pain cases, consider surgery synovectomy not completely relevant, need to be furtherprospective studies.
