Objective:To evaluate value of application of intravascular ultrasound imaging(IVUS) in diagnosing borderline lesions of coronary angiography(CAG).Methods:According to results of coronary angiography (CAG) in84caseswith coronary borderline lesions,including102lesions of coronaryartery, the diagnostic value of IVUS in coronary borderlineLesion wasevaluated. The lesions (a total of34lesions) of CAG cases (a total of29cases) which below50%are classified by the histological characteristicsclassifications of IVUS, to further understand the potential risk ofcoronary events. Results:For the vessel stenosis rate of the same target, the results of the IVUSgroup was higher than that of CAG group. the disease of CAG lesionswhich less than50%still has coronary events of the potential risk.Conclusion:1、To the extent of coronary artery lesions, the accurate assessmentof IVUS is more than the one of CAG.2、IVUS can be more accurately in distinguishing the types ofcoronary atherosclerotic plaque.3、The lesions of CAG which below50%still has the necessary toIntravascular ultrasound (IVUS).
