The Relationship Between Insulin Dose And Constitution Of Traditional Chinese Medicine In Type2Diabetes

Objective:Combined with the constitution theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) to explore the relationship between insulin dose and constitution of TCM in type2diabetes patients.Along with it to deepen the understanding of the two parts,and hopes to improve part of the study in insulin therapeutic dose and Constitution of TCM,while also hopes to provide a reference to clinical type2diabetes patients with different constitution of TCM when they have treated with insulin.Objects and Methods:According to the diagnostic criteria,inclusion criteria,exclusion criteria to choose the type2diabetes patients who are conformed with standard,and it includes58patients with phlegm-damp constitution and50patients with yin-deficiency constitution.The treatment program of two groups are once-daily long-acting insulin plus three times daily short-acting insulin.The long-acting insulin has been injected in a fixed time and the short-acting insulin has been injected before three meals.Adjusting the insulin dose along with the blood glucose,and recording the insulin dose when the patients’blood glucose has reached the standard. Along with it to study the relationship between insulin dose and constitution of TCM in type2diabetes patients who blood glucose has reached the standard.Results:1.The basic clinical data:There is not significant difference between the phlegm-damp constitution and the yin-deficiency constitution in type2diabetes patients about height,weight,age,body mass index(BMI),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc),duration of disease,lipid levels and other aspects.2.The difference of insulin dose between phlegm-damp constitution and yin-deficiency constitution:The insulin dose of phlegm-damp constitution patients are significantly greater than the yin-deficiency constitution patients’in type2diabetes.The insulin dose of male patients are greater than female patients’women in phlegm-damp constitution group of type2diabetes.3.The analysis between insulin dose and several factors:The insulin dose of diabetic patients have been influence by weight,constitution and HbAlc,which are closely linked with insulin dose.And the affect sexual descending order of weight,constitution and HbAlc.4.The correlation between insulin dose and several factors in type2diabetic patients with different constitutions:Both the group of phlegm-damp constitution and yin-deficiency constitution,the insulin dose of diabetic patients have a positively correlated with their body weight,BMI and HbAlc.In the group of phlegm-damp constitution, the insulin dose of patients have not correlated with their low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C);In the group of yin-deficiency constitution,the insulin dose of diabetic patients have a positively correlated with their LDL-C.Conclusion:The insulin dose of phlegm-damp constitution patients are significantly greater than the yin-deficiency constitution patients’in type2diabetes.The insulin dose of male patients are greater than female patients’women in phlegm-damp constitution group of type2diabetes. The insulin dose of diabetic patients have been influence by weight,constitution and HbAlc,which the greatest influence factor is weight.Both the group of phlegm-damp constitution and yin-deficiency constitution,the insulin dose of patients have a positively correlated with their body weight,BMI and HbAlc.In the group of yin-deficiency constitution,the insulin dose of patients have a positively correlated with their LDL-C.
