The Anatomical Relationship Of The Segond Fracture And Lateral Knee Structure And The Processing Of Clinical Cases

Objective:To investigate the anatomical relationship of the Segond fracture and lateral kneestructure and the processing and analysis of clinical cases.Methods:Retrospective analysis of15cases of Segond fracture, which the anterior cruciateligament rupture in the5cases with the self-body ligament reconstruction of the anteriorcruciate ligament by arthroscopic.Three cases with anterior cruciate ligament tibialintercondylar avulsion fracture,avulsion fracture, two cases with compression screwfixation, one cases with steel wires fixed; Three cases of pure Segond fracture with the useof fixed-conservative treatment in plaster or brace. Preoperative and Postoperative IKDCand Lysholm score assessment are made to value the knee function.The knee laxity werechecked by the KT-1000.Results:All patients were followed up,15patients (including five cases self-body tendonreconstruction and three cases of tibial intercondylar avulsion patients of the anteriorcruciate ligament, and three cases of patients with simple fractures, etc.)PreoperativeLysholm score and IKDC score and postoperative score differences were statisticallysignificance. One cases of Segond fracture with the lateral collateral ligament fibulaavulsion fracture of the patients, tension band fixation of the fracture, and achieved goodclinical effect.Conclusion:Segond fracture strongly suggestive of the presence of the existence anterior cruciateligament injury, autologous semitendinosus and gracilis tendon weave to reconstruct theanterior cruciate ligamentis an ideal material for the treatment of the Segond fracture withanterior cruciate ligament injury. The choice of the tension band fixed fibula fracture to treat the pure Segond fracture with lateral collateral ligament fibula avulsion is a feasiblesurgical approach.
