PrefaceFast track surgery was first proposed by Kehlet in Copenhagen Denmark, this is a new concept for the integration of the latest study of the surgical, anesthesia, nursing, The purpose of optimization measures, reduce patient trauma stress, promote early rehabilitation of patients. In this study, we collected82cases of colorectal cancer patients hospitalized from October2011to May2012, Application of the rapid rehabilitation programs and traditional control programs, and to evaluate the effect of control research and clinical applications.ObjectiveTo prove its superiority compared to traditional treatment programs through the concept of fast track surgery in the treatment of gastrointestinal surgery.MethodsUsing fast track surgery plan and traditional treatment regimens in the treatment of82cases of colorectal cancer patients, Compare the two programs the patient’s hospital stay, cost of hospitalization, complication rate, readmission rate and postoperative clinical indicators.ResultsFast track surgery program contrast with traditional treatment programs, after first exhaust time significantly ahead of schedule(P<0.05), shortened hospital stay(P <0.05), hospital cost is reduced(P<0.01), and the stress response to reduce trauma, postoperative complications without increasing, readmission rates without increasing. ConclusionFast track surgery in gastrointestinal surgery is safe and effective; the use of fast track surgery plan and traditional treatment regimen compared, shortens the length of hospital stay, save hospital costs; the fast track surgery treatment plan to relieve the patients during operation period of trauma and stress, relieve patients during operation period of the pain, to promote the patients in the early stage of rehabilitation.
