Attention deficit disorder (ADD) is one of common behavioral problems in childrenand adolescent. The treatment of ADD can be divided into drug treatment and non-drugtreatment, non-drug treatment of behavior therapy gradually be taken seriously becauseof its apparent efficacy without the side effects. Electroencephalogram (EEG) feedbackas one of many biofeedback therapies has unique advantages in the treatment ofattention deficit. The purpose of this thesis is to design an ADD therapy system which isbased on EEG feedback.This paper firstly introduced the knowledge of the brain waves, including a briefdescription of the brain waves, the acquisition of brain waves and the factors that affectthe brain waves, which leads to the basic principles and the development status of EEGbiofeedback, and then it combined of EEG biofeedback technology to construct theentire feedback correction system. The overall EEG feedback correction systemincluded two parts: hardware and software, the hardware part mainly achieved thecollection, pretreatment of the EEG as well as A/D convert and transfer function. Thesoftware portion of the one hand, achieved real-time EEG restore and display, analysisand processing functions, on the other hand, in accordance with the requirements of theentire system, in order to design and achieve a feedback game to correct the ADDpatients. The feedback games in this system include racing game and snake game. Thekey to realize the games is that the games should be designed combined with qualityparameters which can characterize the concentration ratio of attention.An initial analysis of the system has been made with satisfactory results.
