Objective:To Study the intercondylar notch magnetic resonance imaging signs of measurement characteristics about knee anterior cruciate ligament rupture of the crowd, to assess the correlation of the various signs of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture.Method:The group of cases selected to arthroscopy clear anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture cases, the control group selected to clear ACL rupture cases diagnosed by arthroscopy. Using magnetic resonance imaging to measure the paramenters of the intercondylar notch. Measurements of the intercondylar width (ICW)、intercondylar height (ICH) and epicondylar width (EW) were obtained.The notch shape index (NSI) and the notch width index (NWI) were also calculated. Statistical analysis for comparisons was done by Students’s t-test.Results:In the anterior export-bit of intercondylar notch, the ICW average of60cases is15.7±1.7mm, in control group the ICW average of30cases is17.4±1.4mm, in cases group ICW average of30cases is14.1±2.1mm, there is significant difference between the two groups (t=0.332, P<0.05).In the anterior export-bit of intercondylar notch, the ICH average of60cases is13.6±2.8mm, in control group the ICH average of30cases is13.6±3.4mm, in cases group ICH average of30cases is13.6±2.1mm, there is no significant difference between the two groups (t=0.673, P>0.05).In the anterior export-bit of intercondylar notch, the EW average of60cases is68.4±2.8mm, in control group the EW average of30cases is68.5±3.4mm, in cases group EW average of30cases is68.3±2.1mm, there is no significant difference between the two groups (t=0.439, P>0.05). In the anterior export-bit of intercondylar notch, the NSI average of60cases is1.186±0.179, in control group the NSI average of30cases is1.316±0.112, in cases group NSI average of30cases is1.061±0.148, there is significant difference between the two groups (t=7.241, P<0.05).In the anterior export-bit of intercondylar notch, the NWI average of60cases is0.230±0.025, in control group the NWI average of30cases is0.264±0.017, in cases group NWI average of30cases is0.206±0.017, there is significant difference between the two groups (t=4.583, P<0.05).In the posterior export-bit of intercondylar notch, the ICW average of60cases is19.7±1.7mm, in control group the ICW average of30cases is21.1±1.4mm, in cases group ICW average of30cases is18.3±1.3mm,there is no significant difference between the two groups (t=4.583,P>0.05).In the posterior export-bit of intercondylar notch, the EW average of60cases is70.4±3.5mm, in control group the EW average of30cases is70.9±4.2mm,in cases group EW average of30cases is69.9±3.8mm, there is no significant difference between the two groups (t=0.932, P>0.05).In the posterior export-bit of intercondylar notch, the NWI average of60cases is0.262±0.045, in control group the NWI average of30cases is0.300±0.035, in cases group NWI average of30cases is0.244±0.037, there is significant difference between the two groups (t=4.69, P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The NWI、NSI、ICW about the anterior export-bit of intercondylar notch and the NWI、ICW about the posterior export-bit of intercondylar notch these are important objectively parameters which reflect the intercondylar notch stenosis.2.In control group the NWI、NSI、ICW about the anterior export-bit of intercondylar notch and the NWI about the posterior export-bit of intercondylar notch are significantly reduced difference between the two groups.3.The NWI、NSI、ICW about the anterior export-bit of intercondylar notch and the NWI about the posterior export-bit of intercondylar notch are the predictor of ACL rupture.
