Purpose:Depending on the nature of carotid artery atherosclerotic plaque, studying a variety of risk factors leads to carotid artery atherosclerosis in the atherosclerotic plaque formation.Method: Have retrospectively explored analysed the clinical data of305cases of patients with cerebral infraction (2010January to2012January) in department of neurology. Depending on the carotid ultrasound echo intensity, those patients were divided into high-echo group, low-echo group, mixed-echo group, non-plate group. Adopting the application of analysis of variance statistic a variety of factor in the difference between the groups mentioned, to explore the influence of various factors on the carotid artery atherosclerotic plaque formation.Result:1. High fibrinogen, high HCY, high FBS maybe have contributed to the atherosclerotic plaque formation, but there were no significant difference between the groups.2. Agedness and hs-CRP maybe have contributed to the high-echo and hybrid-echo plaque formation.3. Female may be a risk gender leading to the formation of a hyperechoic plaque.4. High platelets, high TG, low TC, low LDL may be the risk factors leading to hypoechoic plaques.5. Low HDL may be a risk factor for hypoechoic plaques and mixed plaques formation. Conclusions:Gender, age, platelets, TC, TG, HDL, LDL, Hs-CRP are risk factors having an impact on the character of atherosclerotic plaque.
