Objective::Comparing the difference of intraoperative and perioperative outcomes inlaparoscopic right hemicolectomy by two different selective positions of Trocar. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of different Trocar positions ofLaparoscopic Right Hemicolectomy which were performed in the Gastrointestinal Surgeryof Tongji Hospital in HUST from May.2011-May.2012. We choose pw1and pw2asexperimental and control group, respectively, and compare the operative time, volume ofintraoperative blood loss, number of harvested lymph nodes, conversion to open surgeryand postoperative complication. Results: There is a significant difference in the operation time (165.9±23.5min versus188.5±25.8min; P=0.0062), the volume of intraoperative blood loss (50.5±35.6ml versus92.5±55.8ml; P=0.0073) and the number of harvested lymph nodes (16.5±3.2versus13.5±3.4; P=0.0066) between pw1and pw2. However, there is no significantdifference in the rate of conversion to open surgery (5%versus10%; P>0.05) and theincidence of postoperative complications (10%versus15%; P>0.05)Conclusions: The surgical approach that the primary operating port located on the leftlower abdomen(the way of pw1) is significantly superior to that of the primary operatingport located on left upper abdomen (the way of pw2) regarding the operative time, thevolume of operative blood loss, and the number of harvested lymph nodes in theLaparoscopic Right Hemicolectomy.
